As Oceanic Glow's founder, Sherley possesses unparalleled expertise in creating opulent candles and fragrances. Her extensive background in health advocacy, healing, and spirituality has endowed her with a profound grasp of the intricacies involved in this art. Her healing journey after she experienced sexual trauma has further fueled her unbridled passion and resiliency for candle-making and fragrance creation.
The business began as a hobby to aid in my therapeutic healing as a survivor of sexual trauma. It was a hobby that kept me busy but turned into a business. Oceanic Glow is a powerful tribute to my grandmother Germaine, whose unbreakable strength and resilience continue to inspire me. Despite her challenges, including her untimely passing after giving birth to triplets in Haiti, her legacy of healing, empowerment, and love endures. Although I never had the opportunity to meet her, I feel her presence in my life daily. I named my business after her to honor her memory and continue the legacy of elegance and empowerment that she embodied. Germaine's unwavering passion for bringing new life into the world despite adversity is remarkable. As her granddaughter, I am committed to making her proud and spreading her message of love and healing strength to all those around me.
